Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective 29 September 2026. This policy explains how Steven Irvine, trading as Yondoro ("Yondoro", "we", "us"), handles personal information when people use the Yondoro website, consumer services and business portal. Steven Irvine is the controller of that personal information.
1. Information we collect
We may collect account information such as name, email address and authentication details; business profile and team-access information; customer interactions such as reviews, feedback and verified check-ins; location information a user or business chooses to provide; payment and transaction references supplied by our payment processor; and technical information needed for security, reliability and service operation.
Yondoro does not need to store full payment-card numbers. Card and wallet payment details are handled by Stripe when payment services are enabled.
2. Why we use information
We use information to provide accounts and business profiles, operate discovery and relationship features, process and evidence purchases, prevent abuse and protect accounts, provide support, improve the service, meet legal obligations and communicate important service information.
3. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide a service or perform a contract, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and protecting Yondoro, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent where consent is required.
4. Reviews, feedback and business relationships
Positive written feedback may be made public only where the product flow allows publication and the customer has the required permission or choice. Constructive or negative written feedback may be kept private to the relevant business while still contributing to permitted service metrics. Verified-visit indicators may be shown where Yondoro has an appropriate verification signal.
5. Who we share information with
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, database services, authentication, email delivery, payments and operational monitoring. Providers receive only the information needed to perform their role and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect users, businesses, Yondoro or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
6. Cookies and similar storage
Essential cookies or local storage may be used for sign-in, security, preferences and core functionality. Optional cookies are not intended to be enabled before the user has a choice. You can reopen Cookie settings from the site footer.
7. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including account operation, transaction records, fraud prevention, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Detailed export, closure and deletion workflows will be applied in line with applicable law and Yondoro's operational requirements.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. UK users may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards including authenticated sessions, access controls, server-side secrets, rate limiting for sensitive authentication flows and audit controls for administrative activity. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Yondoro is not designed as a service directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age or parental permission for particular processing, the applicable requirement will be followed.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Yondoro develops. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and the effective date above will be updated.
12. Contact
Questions, privacy requests and data-rights requests can be sent to steven.irvine@yondoro.com, or by post to Steven Irvine trading as Yondoro, 14 Sandhurst Manor, Galgorm, Ballymena, BT42 1FG, Northern Ireland. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner\'s Office.
